The Town Council and Lowestoft Vision are supporting the mandatory rules coming into force on Friday 24 July where all shoppers will need to cover their faces to enter the wonderful range of shops we have in Kirkley, London Road North, and the historic High Street. With a clear message from the retailers of “DON’T MAKE US ASK, WEAR A MASK” we can all make the town a safe and pleasant place to shop.

Sep. 11 - 20, 2020 All Day
With a town so steeped in history, the Town Council welcomes and supports the Heritage Open Days every September. This year, as with many other things, it will be a bit different with lots of events taking place on-line. From 11th to 20th September, you can enjoy a range of heritage activities from your home by taking a virtual tour of the Town Hall in the High Street or watching an online presentation of the role Lowestoft played in the Battle of Britain. If you wish to venture out, there is the High Street Heritage Trail and interesting window displays in the High Street as well as exhibitions at the Railway Station. The list of events can be found on the Heritage Open Day's Website - https://www.heritageopendays.org.uk/
